Little protein bites that taste just like chocolate chip cookie dough. Made with vegan vanilla protein powder, almond meal, coconut oil and mini chocolate chips, they’re a no-bake healthy treat!
I just can’t help myself. I love making protein bites. Making a batch and storing them in my fridge for when I need a quick snack is something I do often. They are packed with protein, not overly sweet and hold me over until my next meal. These paleo chocolate brownie bites are one of my go-to’s. My kids love them too.
During the hot summer months, it’s just as important as any other time of the year to keep our nutrition game strong. Making sure we get plenty of fresh fruits and veggies. Drinking lots of water. Staying active, even when it’s over 100 degrees outside {that’s a tough one}. Taking care of our health, even in the busyness of summer.
Did you know that Bob’s Red Mill has an incredible line of Nutritional Boosters? From chia seeds, to protein powders, to flaxseed meal, to hemp seed hearts. A whole line of products to increase the nutritional value of your smoothies and baked goods. A great way to add that extra boost!
I love that the Bob’s Red Mill protein powders have a short list of quality ingredients. Pea protein powder, chicory root fiber, chia seeds, probiotics, vanilla powder and monk fruit extract for a touch of sweetness. They’re gluten free and vegan too! You can find the protein powders in chocolate, vanilla or chai, as well as unsweetened. Simply mix with water or add to your favorite fruit smoothie.
Why not make a sweet snack with the vanilla protein powder? It has such an amazing vanilla flavor so I decided to make my protein bites. A mixture of almond flour, the protein powder, coconut oil, almond milk, coconut oil and mini chocolate chips. After I mixed everything together, I took one little bite before rolling into balls. It immediately reminded me of chocolate chip cookie dough! Never a bad thing.

Hi Sarah! I just stumbled upon your site and I am super excited to try making some of your recipes. My little guy (20 months) has tons of food allergies. Your recipes look like I may be able to give many of them to him! I love the idea of these protein bites since he has meat allergies among many other things and it’s hard to get in protein. But he also is allergic to all nuts. Is there a nut-free substitute for almond flour, that is still gluten free and vegan, that you could recommend? Thank you!!!

Hi about the cookie dough bites…could I sub in coconut flour for the almond flour?
Thanks
