Gluten Free Vegan Cranberry Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies. Chewy cookies with fresh orange zest, sweet dried cranberries and lots of dark chocolate chips!
I have done the whole dairy free thing oh so many times. On and off again, not really sticking to the plan. All while knowing dairy bothered me. It was probably in college that I figured out it was dairy that was causing my tummy issues. I was so bad at sticking to a dairy free diet though. I was always giving into the ice cream temptation since there were NO good dairy free ice cream options out there.
It wasn’t until shortly after my son was born, about 7 years ago, that I went to see a naturopathic doctor and had a food allergy test done. It was a blood test and extremely accurate, showing just how sensitive I was to different foods. Dairy was one of my top allergens {of course}, along with gluten and eggs.
Let’s be real here. The transition was HARD. Getting used to this new diet change was no joke. No more gluten. More more dairy. No more eggs. After I had my little pity-party, I quickly embraced it as my new normal. I decided to have a positive outlook and embrace the foods that I COULD eat!

Now, let’s get to these cranberry orange chocolate chip cookies. One of my favorite flavor combos! I love the brightness of the fresh orange zest, the tangy dried cranberries and the rich dark chocolate chips. All bold flavors that so sweetly compliment each other. These cookies are of course dairy free, but they are also gluten and egg free.
I’m here to tell you that just because you are cutting out dairy, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a warm, chocolate chip cookie. There are actually so many wonderful dairy free treats out there to enjoy, thanks to brands like So Delicious. Amazing ice creams, frozen treats, dairy free milk beverages, coffee creamers and yogurts. I now don’t have any regrets giving into those ice cream cravings!

Hi Sarah!
How much salt should be added? I’m not seeing the amount in the ingredient list but am seeing it mentioned in step two.
Thanks!
