I know I’ve been sharing an abundance of pumpkin recipes, so I think it’s time we give the apple some love! Apple cinnamon is another classic fall flavor, one that also just warms your heart. The sweetness from the apples and the spiciness from the ground cinnamon. It’s hard to find a more perfect pair.
There is never a shortage of smoothie creations, let me tell you. From my favorite green smoothie to an orange creamsicle smoothie, there are endless flavor combinations. This apple pie smoothie is made with fresh apples, almond milk and gluten free oats. The oats help thicken the smoothie and add the extra fiber. I left the peels on the apples so you get all those nutrients.
A touch of cinnamon, a dash of nutmeg. This dairy free apple pie smoothie is a great {tasty} way to start your day!
- 2 apples, cored and chopped
- 1 cup ice
- 1 1/4 cups So Delicious unsweetened almond or coconut milk
- 1/3 cup gluten free rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon coconut sugar or pure maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- pinch ground nutmeg
- Add all ingredients, except nutmeg, to high-powered blender. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, 1-2 minutes.
- Pour smoothie into glasses. Oats will start to thicken smoothie. Top with nutmeg and serve immediatly.
