Strawberries and summertime go hand-in-hand. Local strawberry stands and farmers markets selling their juicy, fresh-picked strawberries. They are simply irresistible! My kids eat them like they are candy. They can barely wait for me to wash them. If there are any leftover in my kitchen, I try to make this gluten free vegan strawberry cheesecake. Don't you just want to grab a fork and dig in? Today I'm sharing my recipe for this perfect-for-summer cheesecake over at Simply Sugar and ... read more
gluten free vegan multigrain pancakes
Mornings are always better when there are pancakes involved. These gluten free vegan multigrain pancakes will make your mornings pretty fantastic! They are a mixture of my flour blend, ground oat flour, and course cornmeal. The batter is simple, giving you no excuse to not make gluten free pancakes from scratch. I also proved with this recipe, you don't eggs or dairy to make a stand-out pancake! I could just eat these things plain, hot out of the pan (which I did...I couldn't help myself). They ... read more

One of the many things I love about summertime...all of the gorgeous, fresh fruit. We are spoiled here in California with an abundance of locally-grown fruit. All of the good stuff comes out at this time of year for us to enjoy. Peaches, plums, strawberries, nectarines, apricots, watermelons, cherries. I take full advantage and stock up...my kids just can't get enough fresh fruit! I couldn't pass on a great deal on these beautiful, organic plums. They were calling my name. gluten free s’mores cookies
Who doesn't love a s'more? Toasted, gooey marshmallow and melted chocolate, sandwiched between two graham crackers. Simple and delicious. Probably the messiest dessert too...cause I'm pretty sure you can't eat one without getting it all over your fingers and face. It's worth it though. The s'more is the classic camping treat that very few can resist! I had this need to come up with a cookie that tasted just like the classic s'mores (yes, a NEED). I was craving s'mores, but we weren't going ... read more

dairy free mango coconut popsicles
It's popsicle season! When the warm weather comes, our freezer is always stocked with fruity popsicles. Cool, refreshing. It's the perfect quick and satisfying dessert for summertime. My kids can't get enough of them! I love to make my own popsicles. Not only is it way cheaper, but you can add your favorite ingredients and avoid all of the unnecessary ones (like high-fructose corn syrup and artificial colors). I also like to control the amount of sugar added. Sometimes you don't even need to ... read more
gluten free vegan glazed oatmeal raisin cookies
I know not everyone loves oatmeal cookies (including my husband), but they are one of my favorites. I am crazy about how the oatmeal makes the cookie chewy and gives them such great texture. I'm also a fan of raisins in my oatmeal cookies. Yes, I know chocolate chips are a great compliment too, but there is something nostalgic about the classic oatmeal raisin cookie. The simplicity of these cookies is a beautiful thing. I made them gluten, dairy and egg free, adding applesauce to make them ... read more
