In my house...pumpkin season has officially begun! I just couldn't wait any longer. My whole family agrees that pretty much every dessert is better when it involves pumpkin and cinnamon. Pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin pie, pumpkin smoothies, pumpkin cake, and pumpkin cookies. What is your favorite pumpkin dessert? These gluten free vegan pumpkin chocolate chip cookies have a good balance of sweet with a touch of spice. I love the flavor combination of cinnamon and chocolate. It's ... read more

gluten free dairy free cookies n’ cream ice cream
I scream...you scream...we ALL will be screaming for this ice cream! That's right, a cookies n' cream ice cream that is gluten free and dairy free. A dream come true for me. Cookies n' cream ice cream was always my favorite flavor of ice cream as a kid. I love the abundance of chunks of chocolate sandwich cookies that get soft from the vanilla ice cream. Yum to the max! I made this special treat to celebrate back-to-school last week. Every celebration is better with ice cream. My kids thought ... read more
peach apple butter + kitchenaid hand blender review
I recently received an AWESOME 5-speed Hand Blender from Kitchenaid! I can never have too many kitchen gadgets and was so excited when this one came to my doorstep. It is so sleek and powerful, with tons of attachments. It comes with interchangeable blades, a whisk attachment, chopper attachment, blender pitcher, and storage case. The handle has a great soft grip on it too. The 5-speed Hand Blender is so versatile and can accomplish quite a lot in the kitchen! How could I feature the hand ... read more
muffin mania!
It's back-to-school time around here! Summer break has come to an end and kids are back to their daily, early morning routine. That usually means mom has to be a bit (or a lot for me) more organized, making sure her kids get a yummy breakfast in the morning. Cereal is quick, oatmeal is good, but both can get boring fast. Most of us don't time to bake in the craziness of school mornings, but all of these gluten free muffins can be made the night before and you'll be set for the week. You ... read more
airplane party for the birthday boy.
Our little man turned 4. He's officially no longer a toddler, but is completely still my baby. Kaden is full of energy and spunk, all while being my little cuddle bear. I cherish my days with him and have loved watching him grow. He is writing his name, enjoys playing video games with daddy, Legos are pretty much the coolest things ever in his eyes, and he is about to start preschool. Our buddy boy is beyond a blessing to our family of four. I always get so excited for birthdays in my house, ... read more
gluten free vegan rustic peach pie
One of my favorite summer fruits...peaches! They are so juicy and have such an amazing flavor. They only make their appearance this time of year, so I always snatch up as many as I can. My kids love to just eat freshly sliced peaches, in all their glory. I love to bake them in a peach cobbler or this rustic peach pie! Pies can be so intimidating. There are lots of steps...making the crust, refrigerating the crust, making the filling, rolling out the crust, putting the pie together, and waiting ... read more
dark chocolate cherry cookie dough bites
Can't. Get. Enough. Cookie dough. This is my third variation of this "healthy" cookie dough and I just can't stop myself. It's so good! I first made just a chocolate chip batch. Classic and tasty. Recently, I shared a recipe for oatmeal raisin cookie dough bites over at Ask Anna. They tasted just like an oatmeal raisin cookie, but without the guilt. I ate the whole batch myself. No sharing going on here! Now let's move on to my newest cookie dough creation. Dark chocolate cherry. Stop ... read more
gluten free vegan banana maple donuts
Sometimes I have myself a little pity party when I think about how unfair it is that I can't just go to the donut shop and get a hot, fresh donut. I'm missing out on that frosted, greasy, fried dough. Melt-in-your-mouth goodness. I know donuts are not the healthiest breakfast choice and go straight to my thighs...but they sure do taste good! After I get over my donut woes, I just get in my kitchen and make a batch of BAKED gluten free donuts! I've come to love these 10 times more than ... read more
